Brexit interim deal ‘only if necessary’: minister

Finance Minister Philip Hammond has said a "transitional" arrangement could be "helpful" in cushioning the Brexit process, but Davis said it should only be used to smooth the application of a final agreement, not as a staging post in negotiations. Davis told parliament's Exiting the European Union Committee: "The British people want this done with some degree of expedition.
